“Essential Workers Cross-Border Vaccination Initiative” has been announced by the Manitoba and North Dakota governments

A new intiative announced by the Manitoba and North Dakota governments will allow more essential workers to get their COVID-19 vaccination.

Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum announced the ‘Essential Workers Cross-Border Vaccination Initiative,’ which will see the state provide vaccines for Manitoba-based truck drivers who cross the border as part of their work.

This is the first such program between a Canadian and American jurisdiction.

These immunizations will take place during the drivers’ trips to the United States over the next six to eight weeks
