Evidence Presented in the Trial of a Whitewood Business Owner Facing Drug-Related Charges

The first portion of the trial of a Whitewood business owner facing drug-related charges, has wrapped up.

The trial of 49-year-old Jerry Martin got underway Monday (26th) in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench, and with the evidence having been presented, the case has been adjourned to September 16th and 17th, when the lawyers on both sides will present their arguments.

In November of 2016, Mounties raided a home and a business in Whitewood, and they seized cash, marijuana, hash oil, cell phones, computers, and three vehicles.

Martin faces numerous charges relating to the operation of what police call an unlawful marijuana dispensary.
