A first court appearance has been made by a Hendon man, arrested in connection to a May long weekend check stop in Archerwill that led to a drug seizure.

In Yorkton Provincial Court yesterday (Tues), 36-year-old Brett Holte was remanded into custody for his next court date this Friday (May 28).

He is facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and Meth, Possession of Heroin and Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Less than $5-thousand.

Last Friday (May 21) Greenwater RCMP determined the driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Rose Valley.

A search of the vehicle turned up 61 grams of cocaine, 72 grams of meth, 12 grams of heroin, a sum of Canadian currency, and the driver received a 72-hour roadside driver’s license suspension, after being assessed for impairment.
