Another Court Appearance For A Man Charged With Arson In Russell

A man accused of setting the oldest house in Russell on fire, has appeared in court again. On January 5th, RCMP were called to Pelly Avenue, where firefighters were battling a blaze that had fully engulfed the structure, built in 1888. About two hours later, a call came in to 9-1-1, in which a man said he started the fire, giving his location, and when police arrived, he was found with a container of what was believed to be gasoline. 22-year-old Liam Flett of Russell was in court yesterday, and had his matter adjourned to June 23rd.
