The federal government is kicking in $7.2 million for a Shop Local initiative, with $1.1 million coming to Saskatchewan. The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce is getting some of those funds, and executive director Juanita Polegi says it’ll help launch a social media campaign to encourage people to shop local by having videographers shoot and edit a 60 second ad for local businesses to use on their social media page.
