A charity expedition landed in Yorkton Wednesday

Give Hope Wings fourth charity expedition landed in Yorkton, yesterday afternoon (Wed).
Hope Air is the only charity in Canada that provides free flights and accommodations for Canadians in financial need who must reach medical care far from home.
“We’ve noticed that about 33 percent of patients will cancel their appointments since they are unable to attend, so Hope Air would step in and help those people in financial need.” local pilot Basie Spies said.
Spies adds that the expedition aims to raise 400-thousand dollars to provide 16-hundred flights to help people who must travel afar to medical appointments.
“We are at 300-thousand dollars now.” he said. Spies says it’s easy for anyone to donate, by going online to www.hopeair.ca.
