Federal health officials held a technical briefing this morning on the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. Chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam says over the past month, there have been great strides in slowing the growth of the epidemic, with an average of 2,230 new cases were being reported daily, about half of what they were in the peak of the 4th wave. She also says the highest rate of outbreaks is in school-age kids.
