Saskatchewan’s Long Term Care Homes Will Be Inspected

The Saskatchewan Health Ministry has launched a long-term care home inspection program, which will see facilities come under the microscope , starting today. Those are expected to be completed by March next year, and after that, all long-term care homes will be regularly inspected on a three-year cycle. 20 homes, selected to reflect an urban-rural balance, and a range of small, medium and larger homes will be inspected. Saskatchewan has 151 long-term care homes and 10 other facilities with long-term care beds.
