Yorkton was the site of a Dangerous Offender hearing for a Canora man with a long history of violent behaviour. In February of 2020, RCMP were called to a home on a report of a female being assaulted. The victim was able to fight off the suspect, and ran to a neighboring residence to call 911. The matter for 53-year-old Jason Ludba was adjourned to February 18th.
