Another court appearance yesterday for four men charged in a pair of incidents last July that Carlyle RCMP say are connected. Police were called to investigate an alleged assault outside a business on the Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nation, that left a man seriously injured. About an hour later, Mounties were notified that someone had discharged a firearm at a vehicle on the White Bear First Nation. 22-year-old Justin Desjarlais and 27-year-old Jordan Desjarlais, 19-year-old Cyrus Campeau and 21-year-old Demetrius Standingready will be back in Carlyle on February 9th.
Standingready and Jordan Desjarlais are also charged in connection with a November drug bust in Kisbey, and their co-accused, 21-year-old Kiera Shingoose of Kisbey also appeared yesterday, with her matters adjourned to February 23rd in Carlyle.
