4 In Sask. Court On Drug/Assault Charges

Another court appearance yesterday for four men charged in a pair of incidents that Carlyle RCMP say are connected. July 28th, police were called to an assault outside a business on the Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nation that left a man seriously injured. An hour later, Mounties were notified that someone had discharged a firearm at a vehicle on the White Bear First Nation. 22-year-old Justin Desjarlais, 27-year-old Jordan Desjarlais, and 21-year-old Demetrius Standingready will be back in Carlyle court next Wednesday, while 19-year-old Cyrus Campeau while appear again on April 13th. Standingready and Jordan Desjarlais are also charged in connection with a November drug bust in Kisbey, and their co-accused, 21-year-old Kiera Shingoose of Kisbey also appeared yesterday, with her matters adjourned to February 23rd in Carlyle.
