Federal health officials have approved the first COVID-19 vaccine developed by a Canadian company. Officials at Health Canada say Medicago’s Covifenz vaccine is for the prevention of COVID-19 in adults 18 to 64 years of age, and is the 6th vaccine to be approved. It’s said to be 71 per cent effective against symptomatic infection and 100 per cent effective against severe disease.
