The city of Yorkton is going through the process of making the new school zones speed limits a bylaw. City council approved the first reading of the bylaw which puts it forward to the public feedback stage, where residents can voice their concerns about the school zones to the city.
Meantime, Yorkton city council approved the 2022 water main replacement project, and Mayor Mitch Hippsley says this year, the focus will be around the water tower, with maintenance work to the water tower in 2023.
