Highways near Moosomin and Carlyle closed as storm tracks through Southeast Sask.

Highways in-and-around Moosomin are closed as the latest storm rolls through southeastern Saskatchewan.

The Saskatchewan Highway Hotline says there is zero visibility, slush, icy or slippery sections, and heavy snow.

The Hotline also says Highway 9 north from Carlyle to the Junction with Highway 48 is closed.

This comes as Winter storm warnings continue for the southeastern corner of Saskatchewan, including Moosomin, along with many area in Manitoba, including Dauphin, Roblin and Russell.

A Colorado Low is responsible, and continues tracking through the Dakotas.

Total snowfall accumulations of 25 to 50 cm will fall with higher amounts possible, and wind gusts to 80 km/h are also expected giving periods of very poor visibilities in snow and blowing snow.

Further east, rainfall warnings are in effect for areas including Neepawa.
