A Manitoba Man Charged With Assault Failed To Appear In Court

An update in the case of a 44-year-old man facing several charges stemming from an alleged assault in the R.M. of Kelsey. On November 20th, When RCMP from The Pas arrived at the home, they were told the suspect was inside the residence along with other adults and children, and was in possession of a firearm. The victim of the alleged assault, a 21-year-old woman, was found outside the residence with minor injuries, and after several hours of negotiation, the suspect exited the house and was arrested without incident, and police seized a firearm and ammunition. Jeremy Cook, of the R.M. of Kelsey, was to appear in The Pas yesterday, but he failed to show up, and the judge issued a warrant for his arrest.
