A Sask. Man Charged With Assault Was Back In Court

A Kawacatoose First Nation man remains in custody after appearing in court yesterday on charges stemming from from an alleged assault on the reserve. 28-year-old Jesse Worme has been committed to stand trial on charges including Robbery and Aggravated Assault, on September 20th in Punnichy. His co-accused, 20-year-old Talon Worme, of Kawacatoose, is also in custody, and was already scheduled to stand trial on similar charges in Punnichy the same day. On May 6th, Punnichy RCMP received a report of an assault on the Kawacatoose First nation, that resulted in a man being taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
