A new court date has been set for a man arrested in connection with a fire at the oldest house in Russell.
In January of last year, RCMP were called to the scene on Pelly Avenue, where firefighters were battling a blaze that had fully engulfed the structure, built in 1888.
About two hours later, a call came in to 911, in which a man said he started the fire, gave his location, and was found with a container of what was believed to be gasoline.
23-year-old Liam Flett of Russell, had a court appearance yesterday (Wed), where his matters were adjourned to August 17th.
