Another court appearance in Swan River, for a man arrested on May 6th in Winnipeg. Officers found about 27 grams of methamphetamine in the suspect’s possession along with a weapon and drug-related paraphernalia. A subsequent search of a hotel room found several loaded handguns. 31-year-old Matthew Barker, of Swan River, is facing numerous charges in connection to those searches, along with charges stemming from an incident in Saskatchewan. Barker remains in custody, and will appear in Swan River Court again on August 17th.
