The Manitoba Government Inks Timber Revenue M.O.U’s With 2 First Nations

The Manitoba government will sign a memorandum of understanding with OCN today giving the First Nation 45% of revenue collected from timber dues returned to the rights holders. The Government signed a similar deal with a First Nation north of Winnipeg yesterday. The deals are retroactive to January 1st this year, and runs through June 30, 2024. The province had been working with both since early 2022.
