Canora Man Pleads Guilty To Possession Charge

A 28-year-old Canora man charged in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation, has admitted his guilt.

In Regina Provincial Court yesterday, Chase Badham was sentenced to 14 days time served and given a ten-year firearm prohibition, after pleading guilty to Possession of Ammunition While Prohibited. The other charges against him were stayed.

On November 22, 2020, police in the capital spotted a black Audi that was reported stolen and attempted a traffic stop, leading to a chase, which included the use of a spike belt..

Officers ended the chase, and later found the vehicle parked on the Number One Highway, where they arrested the suspect, who was hiding in a nearby field.
