Sask. Offers More Benefits For Ukrainian Refugees

The Saskatchewan government is lending a helping hand to new families that have come to the province through the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel. Additional income support benefits are being made available for Ukrainian newcomers, to help with the cost of raising kids under the age of 18. Eligibility has been expanded for the province’s Child Basic Benefit, under the Saskatchewan Income Support, and the Transition Benefit for Children, under the Saskatchewan Assured Income for Disability program, until families can qualify for the federal Canada Child Benefit. For more information on programs and services to support Ukrainian newcomers to Saskatchewan, call toll-free, 1-833-613-0485.
