Health Canada has approved Pfizer’s COVID-19 bivalent booster, targeting the B-A-4 and B-A-5 strains of the Omicron variant. Chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam says it’s important for people to get the new vaccine, as there are indications the virus is making a fall resurgence. Moderna’s bivalent vaccine was approved last month.
