There was an increase to new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba.

During the week of September 25-October 1st, 305 new cases were recorded, up from the previous week’s 283.

The weekly test positivity rate was 23.4 percent, slightly up from 22.2 percent in the previous week.

Severe outcomes slightly increased as well, from 73 hospital admissions to 77, from 11 ICU admissions to 13, and another 3 deaths were recorded.

Only one outbreak at a long-term care facility was reported last week, but none in schools.
