Punnichy-area woman charged with Second Degree Murder back in court

A woman from the Punnichy district, charged in connection with a murder in Regina in October of 2021, was back in court in the capital on Friday (Jan. 27).

On October 13, 2021, Regina Police were dispatched to a report of a deceased individual.

Upon further investigation, the death of 24-year-old Peri Redwood was determined to be a homicide, and 24-year-old Hope Cyr was later arrested.

Cyr is charged with Second Degree Murder, and she remains in custody, to return to Regina Provincial Court on Wednesday (Feb. 1).
