A Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation man, arrested early New Year’s Day, has appeared in court again.
On New Year’s Eve, Virden RCMP were called to a home on the reserve, about a man armed with a knife, threatening the residents of a home.
The suspect fled and barricaded himself in another home, before police gained entry and placed him under arrest.
42-year-old Bruce Branth was in Brandon Court yesterday (TUES), where he was remanded in custody to March 23rd.
