The Melville Fire & Rescue held their Firefighters Ball and Awards Ceremony on February 25th.

Mayor Walter Streelasky says the event took place at the Horizon Credit Union Centre.

The firefighters were recognized for their contributions to the city, how long they’ve been with the department and where they came from.

The dinner was well attended, which included MP Cathay Wagantall, MLA Warren Kaeding, along with visitors from outside the community.
