In June of 2021 in Wolseley, the 26-year-old Patton stopped a truck that had reportedly been stolen from Manitoba, and while Patton was out of his vehicle, the truck ran him over, leaving him with fatal injuries.

In Regina Provincial Court yesterday, 45-year-old Marlene Pagee pleaded guilty to four charges – Accessory After the Fact to Manslaughter, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000, and Being Unlawfully at Large.

The remaining charges against her were withdrawn.

With credit for time already served, she will spend another 821 days in prison, and she must provide a DNA sample.

Her co-accused, 44-year-old Alphonse Traverse of Winnipeg, admitted to Manslaughter and Theft of a Motor Vehicle in September, and received an 18-year jail sentence.
