Riders O Lineman announces retirement

The Saskatchewan Roughriders who have been adding hopefuls to their training camp roster will now be without a veteran.

Offensive lineman Logan Bandy announced his retirement yesterday on Instagram. The 24 year-old native of Calgary, was selected 38th overall in the fifth round of the 2021 CFL Draft… He then went on to dress for 29 games over the past two years for the Green and White making 15 starts at centre and serving as the team’s primary sixth man.

The Roughriders, like the rest of the teams in the CFL are gearing up for training camp next month in Saskatoon.

It kicks off when the rookies report to Griffiths Stadium May 6th.

In other news from around the league, the Ottawa Redblacks will be without the services of running back Devonte Williams for the foreseeable future after he suffered a torn Achilles while training this off-season. The team announced yesterday that he has since undergone surgery.

The five-foot-nine, 170-pound ball-carrier rushed for 1,002 yards and three touchdowns this past season, his first as a full-time starter… He also hauled in 37 passes for 327 yards
