Four People Arrested Following Drug and Weapon Busts in Punnichy Area

Mounties have arrested four people in connection with drug and weapon busts on the George Gordon First Nation and in Punnichy.

Last Friday, police responded to a report of potentially-armed individuals traveling in a vehicle on the reserve, which resulted in the seizure of about 14 grams of crystal meth, four grams of fentanyl, a machete, and some cash.

The next day, RCMP searched a home in Punnichy, and seized about 114 grams of crystal meth, 25 grams of cocaine, 17 grams of fentanyl, over 100 grams of cannabis, some weapons, and cash.

30-year-old Joshua Fayant, 20-year-old Tylena Favel, 37-year-old Quentin Desjarlais, and 24-year-old Shaylon Mooswa, all face charges in connection with the busts.
