18 months probation for a Kisbey resident charged in connection with a 2021 drug and firearm bust in that community.

In January, 23-year-old Kiera Shingoose pled guilty to Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and she was sentenced last Monday in Estevan Court of King’s Bench.

Back in November, her co-accused, 23-year-old Demetrius Standingready, of Kisbey, was sentenced to two years less-a-day in jail for his role in the incident.

In November of 2021, Mounties searched a Kisbey home, seizing a stolen firearm, 52 grams of cocaine and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Shingoose and Standingready were each charged with numerous drug and weapon offences.
