A new court date has been set for one of two people, arrested following a gas and dash on the Sioux Valley Dakota Nation.
On May 13, police say the occupants of a stolen truck put 71 dollars worth of gas in the vehicle, and attempted to pay with a debit or credit card that didn’t work, so they simply drove away.
Mounties located the truck a short time later, but it wouldn’t pull over, and turned onto a side road.
The truck was eventually found abandoned, and the two suspects were located in a treed area nearby.
30-year-old Jordan Getty, of Winnipeg, was in Brandon Provincial Court Friday, where he was remanded in custody to July 3, in Virden.
