COVID-19 Update

**Saskatchewan’s total number of COVID-19 cases reached 231, after reporting 11 new, confirmed cases. Seven more people have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 55.
**Manitoba reports 12 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 194 lab-confirmed and probable cases.10 people are in hospital, including 6 in intensive care, 17 people have recovered, and the number of deaths due to COVID-19 remains at two.
In an effort to maintain a healthy supply of Personal Protective Equipment, Manitoba will be collecting gently used N-95 masks. Chief Nursing Officer Lanette Siragusa says each batch of masks will be sterilized prior to distribution to front line health workers.
**Canada’s total cases are at 12,956 total cases, with 214 deaths and 2,550 people recovered from the virus.
With Easter coming up, officials are recommending virtual gatherings.
**Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced $200 million dollar funding allocated for vunerable Canadians during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Prime Minister said he is confident a solution can be reached with U.S. President Donald Trump, after the White House ordered 3-M to cease exports of N-95 masks to Canada.
