Acute care beds reopen and E.R. service expands in Kamsack

The Saskatchewan Health Authority has announced the expansion of emergency room hours and the re-opening of three acute care beds, at the Kamsack Hospital.

Beginning this Sunday (Apr. 30), those beds will reopen to admissions, and access to the E.R. will be available seven days a week, from 8 a.m.to 6:30 p.m. each day.

As well, emergency room service will include weekend on-call lab and x-ray service between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

There will now be three acute care beds, four Alternate Level of Care (ALC) beds, and one palliative care bed open at the Kamsack Hospital, as of Sunday.
