The City of Melville will have a new Deputy Mayor.

Councillor Joe Kirwan will be taking the reins from Councillor Todd Brooks, who has been Deputy Mayor since last November.

Kirwan’s term as Deputy will be from July 1st of this year to February 29, 2020.

In the Cities Act, all members of Council, except the Mayor, serve an 8 month term with the order based on the quantity of votes received in the last civic election, starting with the highest.
