Manitoba’s Independent Investigation Unit is looking into allegations of driving offences against an on-duty RCMP officer.

Yesterday (Tue), the RCMP notified the I-I-U of two allegations over a one month period of an officer driving a police vehicle at an excessive speed without lawful justification to do so, in the Virden area.

The police watchdog determined it is in the public interest to investigate the matter.
