Milestone Reached by Sask. RCMP’s Crime Watch Advisory Network

The Saskatchewan RCMP’s Crime Watch Advisory Network has surpassed the 10-thousand subscriber mark, with 10-thousand 341 subscribers.
Mounties say since expanding it province-wide in mid-April, detachments across Saskatchewan have issued 199 advisories.
Commanding Officer Mark Fisher says through the program, they’ve been able to recover stolen property, lay charges, resolve suspicious persons complaints and make the public more aware of what’s happening in their communities.
In a news release, Corrections and Policing Minister Christine Tell says the program’s success so far has shown that “we can all come together to help reduce rural crime and keep our communities safe”.
Early highlights include the recovery of two stolen trucks by Canora RCMP and the recovery of a stolen truck and trailer by Wadena RCMP.
