CFIB Has Concerns About Ban on Single-Use Plastics

The federal government is working towards a single-use plastics ban to be in place as early as 2021.
Some examples would be straws, plastic bags, cutlery, plates and stir sticks.

The Canadian Federation of Independent Business believes this ban could hurt small businesses, and they need to be a part of the conversation.

They urge the government to take time to consider all the implications, and gives the example of restaurants and retailers who use plastic products needing to quickly find alternative products to serve their customers.
