Teenager who Pleaded Guilty to Armed Robbery in Yorkton to be Sentenced in August

A 17-year-old boy, who admitted to his role in an armed robbery in Yorkton last summer, will be sentenced in August.
During sentencing submissions today (Tue), the Crown requested 8 months of open custody, to be followed by 4 months of supervision.
The defence asked for 6 months of deferred custody, to be followed by 6 months of probation.
Last August, two males wearing masks entered the downtown 7/11 in Yorkton.
The boy, who can’t be named due to his age, held a firearm, while 20-year-old Jesse Favel stole a small amount of cash, and 50 packs of cigarettes.
In May, Favel was sentenced to 3 years in prison, but received credit for 90 days already served.
