Two people were treated at the scene after their vehicle hit a moose last night on highway 1 near Whitewood. That town’s fire department and EMS responded, and officials say the vehicle was substantially damaged. The yearling moose was killed. It’s the second time in a month the Whitewood fire department has responded to an accident involving a moose.
