The Proposed Plastic Ban Has Restaurants Needing Answers

The Trudeau government’s plan to ban single-use plastics has restaurants in Canada wondering how they’ll adjust to the potential changes in a couple years from now. Mark von Schellwitz of Restaurants Canada says restaurants will have to meet the needs of customers without completely eroding their extremely thin profit margins. A recent survey found that 30 per cent of 18-34 year olds are increasingly replacing carry out orders with delivery options.
