A Roblin RCMP officer is facing several charges after an alleged assault dating back to last year.

On December 11th, the Roblin RCMP received a report from a third party that an adult female may be the victim of an assault.

Following a lengthy investigation, an officer with the Roblin detachment was arrested last Thursday (6th), on off-duty incidents that occurred in 2017 and 2018.

Cst. Jason Kitzul is charged with Assault, Assault with a weapon and impaired driving.

Kitzul is scheduled to appear in Roblin Provincial Court on July 18th.
