The 2018 year end report was presented at last night nights Melville City Council Meeting and from it, it showed an operational surplus of just over 3.3 million dollars. Director of Finance Lynsey Swanson say last year was one of change and challenges for the City of Melville; however, the City has been able to make progress towards their goals, objectives, and capital projects that were set out in the 2018 budget. The purchase of a custom fire engine and development on Toronto Street that were budgeted in 2018 but were deferred to this year to be completed.
