Manitobans to Head to the Polls September 10th

Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister has followed through on hints that he’d call an election well ahead of the fixed date of October 2020.

Pallister has announced Manitobans will go to the polls on September 10th — just weeks after his Progressive Conservative government cuts the provincial sales tax by one percentage point to seven per cent.

That fulfills a major promise of the last election campaign.

But N-D-P leader Wab Kinew is already signalling controversial health care reforms will be a major issue this time out.
