Ottawa and Saskatchewan Announce Drought Assistance

The federal and Saskatchewan governments have announced joint measures to address the dry conditions in the province.
Farmers will be able to seed any cereal green feed crop and have it covered through Saskatchewan Crop Insurance, as they have extended their deadline to July 15th.
As well, cattle producers are able to purchase insurance through the Western Livestock Price Insurance Program based on a forward market price on their cattle, and the 60 day continuous criteria will be waived for the 2019 grazing season.
