The Sask. CFIB Says Cross Border Exports Are Down

A decrease in Saskatchewan exports to the U-S is no surprise to the Canadian Federation of Independent Business. A Statistics Canada report states provincial exports across the border into the U-S are down over 20-percent. CFIB Saskatchewan’s Marilyn Braun-Pollon blames border costs over and above tariffs and feels they point to the need for strong free trade agreements. Saskatchewan exported close to 32-billion dollars in goods during 2018 and the U-S was its best customer.
