A Weekend Fire Near Dauphin

Fire crews in Dauphin were called to action early yesterday (Sun) morning. They responded to a house fire some 16 km southeast of the city about 6:00 A.M local time, but by the time they got there, the roof and main floor had collapsed into the basement. Strong wind also carried embers to 3 other structures, and the roofs of those were also on fire. Those were brought under control in about 2 hours, but the main home was a total loss. No one was injured, and the cause has yet to be determined.
