An 18-year-old Dauphin man is in custody, after an armed robbery in that city.

Shortly after 8 o’clock last (Mon) night, a lone male entered a business on Main Street, carrying a long-barrelled gun, and demanded money.

Two employees were struck with the weapon, and he took cash and cigarettes, before fleeing on foot.

The suspect entered a nearby apartment building, and at about 1:35 this (Tue) morning, he surrendered to police.

Officers seized a sawed-off shotgun and ammunition, and also recovered some of the stolen property.
