The NDP Say The Sask. Government Is Failing Education

Saskatchewan’s NDP leader is critical of the funding being provided to the province’s school divisions. Ryan Meili says the March provincial budget should’ve seen a larger investment in education. He notes while enrollment across Saskatchewan has grown by about 10-thousand students over the past five years, support for the hiring of educational assistants has fallen dramatically. Meili adds costs in health care, justice, and social services are on the rise, which shows more people are living in poverty.
