HIV Testing Scheduled for Yorkton

The Yorkton Turning Point Program is holding a special public health-related event tomorrow (THU).
Beginning at 11 a.m., the public is invited to the SIGN Building, on Broadway Street West, for an HIV testing event, to mark National HIV Testing Day.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority says the theme for this year’s event is “Know Your Status,” as statistics indicate that one in five Canadians living with the HIV virus is unaware that they are carrying it.
The SHA notes the only way to find out your status is to be tested, and the sooner you know your HIV status, the quicker you can be treated, if necessary.
