Saskatchewan’s Lt. Governor Has Passed Away After Battling Cancer

Saskatchewan’s Lt. Governor Thomas Molloy has died at the age of 78. Premier Scott Moe made the announcement this morning, saying Molloy, who appointed in March last year, passed away this morning after battling pancreatic cancer. Molloy was the 22nd person to hold the largely ceremonial Vice Regal position, and books of condolence will be available in the main lobby of the Legislature and Government House in Regina. There was no immediate word of a successor.
